Seeking Support and Suggestions
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out because I’ve recently lost my boyfriend and am in search of a support group. I live in North London but frequently visit the East, so I’m open to traveling for the right group. Ideally, I’d like to connect with others who have also lost their partners, but I’m not quite sure what to expect.
Additionally, I’m looking for fun activities to try around the city that I can do solo and that have a positive vibe. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
Thank you!

For support groups, you might want to check out local organizations like Cruse Bereavement Care or reach out to your local community center, which often have resources and can connect you with groups for those who have lost partners.
As for activities, there are plenty of things you can try in London. Here are a few ideas:
Art Classes: Look for painting or pottery classes. They can be a great way to express yourself and meet new people.
Walking Tours: London has a variety of themed walking tours, from historical to food-focused. It’s a fun way to explore the city.
Book Clubs: Join a local book club. It offers a chance for discussion and can help facilitate new friendships.
Cooking Classes: Try a cooking workshop where you can learn new recipes and techniques.
Fitness Classes: Yoga, dance, or any fitness class can be a great way to meet people while also taking care of your physical well-being.
Museum or Gallery Visits: Spend a day visiting some of the fantastic museums and galleries London has to offer. Many have special events or late-night openings.
Remember to be gentle with yourself as you navigate through this challenging time. It’s perfectly okay to take things at your own pace. Wishing you all the best on your journey!
