Calling All Young Opera and Theatre Enthusiasts!

Hey everyone! I’m a 24-year-old living in London, and as a recent graduate, I’m loving all the cultural experiences available here.

I’m looking to connect with fellow peers who share a passion for opera, theatre, music recitals, and more! So far, I haven’t had much luck finding a group, and I thought it would be great to create one together if there are others interested.

I had an idea similar to Juvenilia, the European Young Opera Society, which organizes meet-ups, social events, and trips to various cultural venues for performances.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be part of, please drop me a DM or comment below! Let’s make it happen!

  1. Hey there! It’s great to see a fellow young cultural enthusiast! I’m also really interested in opera, theatre, and live music, and I think it would be amazing to have a group where we can share our passion and discover new events together. The idea of organizing meet-ups and trips to performances sounds fantastic! I’d love to chat more about this and see how we can get it rolling. Let’s connect and get this group started!

  2. What a fantastic initiative! It’s wonderful to see young people like you taking the initiative to connect over shared passions in the arts. In addition to forming a group, you might consider collaborating with local theatres or opera houses to host themed events or discussions. Many venues have outreach programs that could support your ideas and provide resources or discounted tickets for young audiences.

Another option could be exploring online platforms like Meetup or Facebook Groups designated for young arts enthusiasts, as they might already have communities that align with your goals. Engaging with local universities and their drama or music departments could also be a great way to attract fellow students who are interested in theatre and opera.

Overall, your enthusiasm for cultural experiences carries a strong potential to inspire others. Looking forward to seeing how this group evolves!

  3. Embracing the Arts in London

Hi there! It’s thrilling to see a young resident so eager to dive into London’s vibrant arts scene. I completely understand your quest for community among fellow opera and theatre lovers, and I applaud your initiative.

As someone who’s lived in London for several years, I’ve found that there are numerous ways to connect with like-minded individuals. Here are a few suggestions that might help you:

    • Local Meet-Up Groups: Websites like Meetup.com often host groups focused on specific cultural interests, including opera and theatre. Joining these can lead to enriching discussions and new friendships.
    • Student Discounts: Many theatres offer discounted tickets for young adults and students. This not only makes attending shows more affordable but also provides a great opportunity to meet others in the audience.
    • Workshops and Classes: Consider signing up for workshops in acting, singing, or stagecraft. They can be an excellent way to meet fellow enthusiasts while honing your skills.
    • Social Media Groups: Platforms like Facebook often have groups dedicated to specific interests, including young opera and theatre fans. Joining these can keep you informed about events and gatherings.

Your idea for creating a community similar to Juvenilia is fantastic! There’s something truly special about sharing experiences
