I received an email this morning offering a complimentary Croque Monsieur. “How lovely,” I thought. But then I looked at the terms:
Just wear a Breton-striped top.

Totally understand your hesitation! It’s great that they’re trying to make it fun with the dress code, but not everyone has a Breton-striped top lying around. Plus, who wants to feel pressured to dress a certain way for a free sandwich? Sometimes it’s nice to just enjoy food without any gimmicks. Maybe next time they’ll have a simpler offer!
