In Search of a Misplaced Suitcase: A Plea from a London Visitor
On April 10th, I experienced a traveler’s worst nightmare: my trusty suitcase went missing at Heathrow Terminal 2. The airline suspects that it may have been mistakenly taken by another passenger, who unfortunately never returned it upon realizing the mistake. This has been quite distressing, as the suitcase contained nearly all of my essential plus-size business attire, which I am now struggling to replace.
I understand the odds may not be in my favor, but I’m reaching out in hopes that someone might have come across it. Perhaps a hotel in London has an unclaimed suitcase, or there’s a Lost & Found corner somewhere in the city that I haven’t yet considered.
The suitcase in question is an unassuming faded black color, showing its age, with a broken zipper on the top outside pocket. Regrettably, it did not have an ID tag attached. It holds approximately 60 packets of Liquid IV drink mix in the large exterior pocket. Inside, you’ll find it packed with plus-size clothing, a hair dryer, and as a nod to my travels, a bottle of wine from Santa Barbara, among other personal items.
If anyone has any information or advice, I would be immensely grateful. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful people of London for keeping an eye out for a weary traveler in need.
