In a surprising turn of events, around thirty police officers, accompanied by sniffer dogs, conducted an unanticipated drug operation at Wood Street Station. Initially, it appeared that the operation was focused on younger individuals, possibly based on prior intelligence. However, as the day progressed, it became clear that the searches were indiscriminate, affecting all passersby.
As commuters made their way home, at least four individuals were halted and searched for drugs. Notably, one of these individuals—a woman who appeared to be in her forties and had the demeanor of a librarian—was visibly distressed, even brought to tears by the encounter.
