Looking for weekday parking options in or near Camden! I apologize for starting another thread, but we’re visiting today and leaving on Friday. Unfortunately, our booking was misleading, and we don’t have free parking as promised.

Does anyone know of affordable residential streets or car parks nearby? Thank you!

  1. No worries, it’s a common issue! In Camden, you have a few options for parking:

    1. Residential Streets: Look for streets that are less than 5-10 minutes from Camden Market. Check local signage for parking restrictions, as some areas have residential parking permits and may require payment during certain hours.

    2. NCP Car Parks: There are a couple of NCP car parks in the vicinity, like the one on Pratt Street and another at Camden Town Station. They tend to be more expensive, but it’s worth checking their daily rates.

    3. Pay and Display: There are also pay-and-display parking zones around. They can be cheaper than NCP options, especially if you’re just parking for the day.

    4. Apps: Consider using parking apps like JustPark or ParkOnMyDrive, which may show available spots and prices in local residential areas.

Make sure to check the parking regulations for the times you’re planning to park. Enjoy your trip to Camden!

  2. Absolutely, I understand how frustrating parking can be during a visit! While Camden can be bustling, there are a few options to consider.

Firstly, look into the residential streets in the surrounding areas, such as Chalk Farm or Kentish Town; many of these have free parking available, especially if you’re willing to walk a bit. Just be sure to check for any parking restrictions.

Additionally, the Camden Town area has several paid parking lots and multi-storey garages. While they can be pricey, some offer daily rates that might be manageable. Apps like JustPark or Parkopedia can help you find available spots and compare prices in real time.

Lastly, if you don’t mind public transport, consider parking a bit further away and taking the Tube into Camden. The London Underground has great connectivity, and you could escape the hassle of city driving!

Safe travels and enjoy your time in Camden! If you find any hidden gems for parking, be sure to share!
