London’s Cafes

Breakfast

Everybody has a different objective when they arrive in London, and for me, personally, it is usually breakfast. Now I understand that in an American dominated world, that breakfast has become something uncertain. Now it often consists of pancakes or syrup or chocolate, as with the French. But for me there is only one type of breakfast that is worth eating out, and that is is bacon and eggs.

The scene is less bleak than it was years ago. Chefs have definitely began restoring the kind of food to London that since the second of the world wars has been restricted to farms and villages.

Where to have breakfast in London…

We will be keeping a log of breakfasts in London and their respective cafes

The greasy spoon will be a subject we come back and back to so keep your eggs peeled!

4/5

The Breakout – this is a pretty good cafe with OK produce and OK dishes, but it is a nice place to be. The breakfasts have reasonable variety but this is not a high quality place like going to the Connaught or Fallow or something, it is a simple Greek/Turkish style place where they have adapted to sell what they see as an English fry-up.
